Thai Vietjet Airlines has launched a biometric passenger identification system "Smart Path"

Thai Vietjet - the first airline in Thailand to launch a biometric passenger identification system.

"Smart Path" is an automated biometric identification system developed by the Airports of Thailand (AOT). The system uses facial recognition technology for rapid passenger identity verification during pre-flight checks.

To take advantage of the new system, passengers must grant permission to use their identification information at the check-in counter. The system will then generate a set of data called "One ID," which includes personal identification information, biometric identification, travel route, and a "travel token" that can be registered and verified within seconds.

One ID eliminates the need to present personal identification documents and boarding passes at all stages of pre-flight checks.

The "Smart Path" system has already been successfully tested during the check-in for two flights from Bangkok to Singapore."
