The captain of a speedboat fled the scene during which a Thai citizen died, and an unknown foreigner went missing.

The incident occurred on September 25th, around 4:00 PM, on Tian Beach, Koh Lan Island. According to witnesses, a couple was swimming in the sea when a speedboat, possibly transporting tourists to the beach, collided with them.

After the collision, the boat briefly stopped but quickly sped away in an unknown direction within a couple of minutes.

Shortly thereafter, the body of the woman with injuries from the boat's propeller was found in the sea. The fate of the foreigner, who likely died, is being searched for by divers.

The preliminary identity of the captain has been established, and the Pattaya police are searching for him.
