The Constitutional Court of Thailand rejected the petition of the "Move Forward" party regarding the re-nomination of Pita Limjaroenrat for the position of prime minister.

The Constitutional Court stated that the petition was not filed by a person affected by the actions of the parliamentarians.

The unanimous decision of the court permits the continuation of the prime ministerial voting.
Earlier, House Speaker Wan Muhamad Noor Matha mentioned that the voting could take place on either August 18 or 22.
